Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of services by Acculec Limited ("Company", "we", "us", "our") to the client ("you", "your"). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Work

1.1. The services to be provided by Acculec Limited will be as detailed in the written quotation or contract provided to you. Any additional work not specified in the original quotation will be subject to additional charges.

1.2. All work will be carried out in compliance with the applicable UK electrical regulations, including BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations, and any other relevant statutory regulations.

2. Quotations and Pricing

2.1. All quotations provided by Acculec Limited are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

2.2. The quotation is based on the information provided by the client. Any changes or additional requirements may result in a revised quotation.

2.3. Prices are subject to VAT at the applicable rate unless otherwise stated.

2.4. Any unforeseen issues or additional work required that arise during the course of the project will be discussed with you, and additional costs will be agreed upon before work continues.

3. Payment Terms

3.1. Payment terms will be specified in the quotation or contract. Typically, payment is due upon completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed.

3.2. For larger projects, a deposit may be required, and staged payments may be agreed upon.

3.3. Payment must be made within the agreed time frame. Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, accruing daily until full payment is made.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

4.1. If you wish to cancel the contract, you must notify us in writing. Cancellation charges may apply depending on the notice period and the stage of the work.

4.2. If we are required to cancel the contract due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible and refund any payments made for work not completed.

5. Warranties and Guarantees

5.1. Acculec Limited provides a standard warranty for all electrical work carried out, covering defects in workmanship for a period of 12 months from the completion date.

5.2. This warranty does not cover materials or equipment provided by third parties, nor does it cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or alterations made by others.

5.3. Any manufacturer warranties on materials or equipment supplied by us will be passed on to you.

6. Liability

6.1. Acculec Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the services provided.

6.2. Our total liability to you in respect of all losses arising under or in connection with the contract, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the services.

6.3. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

7. Health and Safety

7.1. Acculec Limited will adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations during the provision of services. We expect you to inform us of any hazards or risks that may impact the safety of our team.

7.2. We reserve the right to suspend work if we believe that continuing would pose a risk to health and safety.

8. Access and Site Conditions

8.1. You must provide safe and timely access to the site for Acculec Limited to carry out the work. Any delays caused by lack of access may result in additional charges.

8.2. The work area should be free from obstructions and hazards. Any additional costs incurred due to site conditions not previously disclosed may be charged to you.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1. All designs, drawings, and documents prepared by Acculec Limited in connection with the services are our intellectual property and may not be used by you for any purpose other than the project for which they were created.

10. Data Protection

10.1. Acculec Limited will process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

10.2. By agreeing to these Terms, you consent to the processing of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Force Majeure

11.1. Acculec Limited will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under the contract if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, or natural disasters.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1. In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute amicably through negotiation.

12.2. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be referred to mediation or arbitration in accordance with applicable UK laws.

13. Governing Law

13.1. These Terms and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

14. Amendments

14.1. Acculec Limited reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you in writing.
